Turkeys and deer were among the first visitors to the tree walk and nature trail at AESSEAL Inc’s U.S. base in Rockford, Tennessee.
Around $245,000 has been invested at the 50,000 sq. ft. site, where 29 autumn blaze maple trees and four flamethrower redbud trees are among the latest attractions.
Developments include around 4,600 sq ft of trail, a 1,100 sq ft paved patio area, 29,000 sq ft of newly seeded grass and an irrigation system.
Rather than cutting through the trees, the new path runs along the treeline on the west side of the site, connecting to the existing walk and gazebo. This helped minimise tree cutting, enabled a more accessible route, and allowed the company to offer a longer, more appealing trail for employees, visitors and customers.
A seating area has been installed on the patio, where employees can enjoy lunch, with a handrail fitted on the steep portion of the walk near the parking area.
Operations and compliance manager Josh Perry said the walk opened in August 2025, and added:
It is used every day by people, and we have a fair amount of wildlife in the area that you will catch down on the seating area from time to time. Mostly turkeys, but there has been the occasional deer grazing at the bottom as well as rabbits and such.
The majority of the money was spent on landscaping as part of the company’s pledge to commit £29 million to environmental initiatives by 2029.
AESSEAL Inc’s North American headquarters was renovated to match the standards at the group’s ten-acre Factory for the Future site in Rotherham, where the tree walk surrounds 175,000 sq. ft. of buildings and has been visited by more than 1,000 youngsters since it opened in May 2025.
